Pecan Pie Brownies

Fudgy pecan pie brownies are the best of both worlds. Irresistible pecan pie topping and my favorite fudgy brownies. Utter perfection. This post has been sponsored by the makers of ZIPLOC® Brand.”+ NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE . All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There is nothing better than having a fudgy brownie made with NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE chocolate chips in one hand and an ice-cold glass of milk in the other. That right there is what pure bliss looks like. It’s no secret that I love brownies, but it’s been ages since I shared brownies consistently here—so I am trying my best to add more.

These brownies are the perfect dessert mash-up of pecan pie and fudgy brownies. I never knew how much I could love brownies before I tried these. Luckily, it was so easy to get all the ingredients at Walmart, too!

How to Make Pecan Pie Brownies

Making pecan pie brownies is actually simpler than you might think—and not terribly long either.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line an 8 x 8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the brownie batter, then bake for 20 minutes. (Put any leftover ingredients in your Ziploc® Brand storage bags for optimal freshness)
  3. While the brownies are baking, mix together the pecan pie topping.
  4. Remove the brownies from the oven, and immediately pour and spread the pecan filling overtop the brownies.
  5. Top with more pecans if desired.
  6. Bake for another 15 – 20 minutes.
  7. Remove and allow to cool completely before cutting and serving.

How to Take these Brownies to the Next Level

IF you want your brownies to have a little something extra to them, try adding a tablespoon or two of bourbon to your brownies and a tablespoon in the pecan filling. You can also replace a few tablespoons of the brown sugar with maple syrup. If the pecan topping is your favorite, you can double that portion – it will need a couple of extra minutes in the oven.

Storing Your Pecan Pie Brownies

There isn’t too much to storing your pecan pie brownies. You can freeze your brownies as well. Keeping them in a Ziploc® Brand freezer bag is the perfect solution for this as these bags keep your food perfectly preserved while in the freezer. When you are ready to thaw, put them in the refrigerator for a few hours first, then take to room temperature.

Personally, I love the expandable bottom of Ziploc® Brand Slider bags which makes them even easier to open and store more of that brownie goodness.

The Ziploc® Brand Slider bag’s seal also does a great job keeping everything fresh even when little or older hands use them, so kids and grandmom alike can enjoy brownies when they like without any issues opening and closing their Ziploc® Brand bags. This is essential if you plan on gifting your pecan pie brownies to loved ones! I always recommend using something like Ziploc® Brand bags as an easy and convenient “grab and gift” option for everyone.

Storing Your Leftover Brownie Ingredients

You need to store your brownie ingredients in airtight containers to ensure they stay fresh until you are ready to use them up. Especially your Toll House chocolate chips. I mean, those rich, creamy morsels are what give us that irresistible ooey, gooey chocolate. We can’t waste a single one!

This is why I usually recommend using Ziploc® Brand storage bags. They keep everything airtight. Even if you are storing leftover flour or sugar, not a single grain of flour or granule of sugar can escape their slider seals. Luckily, you can find both NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE chocolate chips and Ziploc® Brand products at Walmart.
